Born from a love of this City
We're Jen & Kel — two New Yorkers who believe the best way to experience this city is with someone who genuinely loves it.
How it all started
Big Apple of My Eye Tours was born from a friendship which began at the Central Park Conservancy, a shared love of New York City, and one simple belief: a tour should feel less like sightseeing and more like spending the day with friends who truly love this city.
Jen and Kel have been friends for nearly 15 years. As licensed New York City tour guides, they bring two very different talents together — Jen is a wonderful storyteller who brings the city's history to life, while Kel is a published professional photographer who helps guests capture beautiful memories using their own phones.
Jen and Kel are the owners, and they are also your guides. From the moment you arrive, they want you to feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. This isn’t about rushing from one landmark to another — it’s about sharing the New York City they love and making memories together that you’ll take home with you.

Jen has a wonderful way of making New York City's history feel alive. She is warm, funny, thoughtful, and an incredible storyteller who knows how to make every guest feel welcomed and included. Jen doesn't simply point out landmarks—she shares the people, stories, and little details that give each neighborhood its heart. Guests may arrive as strangers, but Jen makes them feel like they're exploring the city with an old friend.

Kel
Published Professional Photographer & Licensed NYC Tour Guide
Kel lives and breathes New York City every day. As a licensed tour guide, published professional photographer, and the creator of New York City Kopp, he loves sharing both the famous sights and the everyday moments that make this city so special. Using each guest’s own phone, Kel helps create beautiful photographs and videos throughout the tour—so everyone goes home with genuine memories of their time together in New York City.
Kel doesn't want you to simply see New York City. He wants you to experience it, photograph it, and leave loving it as much as he does.
